Course content:

  1. Purpose of Water Resources Management (WRM).
  2. Elements of WRM-plans.
  3. Analysis of hydrologic data (double-mass curve analysis, identification of outliers, interpolation of missing data, time series analysis, average values of hydrological data over a catchment, the method of kriging).
  4. Rainfal-Runoff models (schematic representation of the hydrological processes in a catchment, mathematical description of evapotranspiration, infiltration and runoff, linear reservoir model).
  5. Storm period hydrographs (synthetic methods, estimation of precipitation losses, SCS-method).
  6. Linear programming.
