The Marie Curie ITN “endure” (http://www.endure-itn.eu/) invites applications for
1 full-time Early Stage Researcher (ESR) position, with a maximum duration of 24
months, starting as soon as possible, within the framework of a financially
attractive research contract.
The research project will examine advanced textile-cement composites and fiber
reinforced polymer (FRP) systems for strengthening and seismic retrofitting of
structures. Researchers applying for this position must (at the time of
recruitment) be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience)
of their research careers and not yet have a doctoral degree. Researchers can be
of any nationality (including Greek) and are required to undertake trans-national
mobility (they will have to reside mainly in Patras). Researchers must not have
resided or carried out their main activity in Greece for more than 12 months in
the 3 years prior to the start date of their employment (proposed start date: 1
October 2015). Applicants should demonstrate evidence of the following:
educational background in structural engineering (MSc or equivalent – e.g.
Diploma - in Civil and/or Structural Engineering), effective communication skills in
English, both written and verbal, report writing skills and experience of delivering
presentations, team working.
